About Island Trading Corp

Island Trading Corp. (ITC) is a registered company founded in 1979, dedicated to producing and exporting high-quality handcrafted products. Over four decades, ITC has grown from a specialist maker of cane and bamboo baskets into a diversified exporter of home furnishing and decorative items supplied to markets in Europe and North America.

In its early years, ITC focused on traditional cane and bamboo baskets and related goods. Responding to changing market trends and customer preferences, the company gradually expanded its product range to include creative, design-driven home furnishing lines while retaining the same commitment to craftsmanship and natural materials.

Today our product range includes Nakshi Kantha and quilted textiles, cushion covers, decorative wall hangings, table runners and placemats, window coverings and bedspreads, pillow covers, handkerchiefs, and handcrafted ladies' bags — all made using sustainable, 100% natural materials whenever possible.

ITC works with over 500 rural artisans (approximately 75% women) across Bangladesh, providing fair wages, safe working conditions, and social support. We are committed to preserving traditional techniques while designing products that meet modern design sensibilities and international quality standards.
